Who We Are
Hope Christian Fellowship is a dynamic,
Bible-believing church family impacting Warrenton and the
surrounding communities of northern Virginia. We're people just
like you, enjoying life's journey, learning and growing, and
discovering how the life-changing love of God impacts us every
day. At Hope, we don't care where people come from, how they
dress, how much money they have, or anything like that. We just
care about people, because every one of us matters to God.
If you are looking for a place to belong, learn,
and serve, come and see what God might have for you at Hope!
Our History
Hope Christian Fellowship began with a desire to
invest God's blessings back into our community so that people
could discover his love and grace.
Our church began when God planted the idea in
the minds of a group of folks worshiping at Warrenton Bible
Fellowship, another terrific church in our community. After a
year of prayer, brainstorming, and planning, and with the
blessing and support of WBF, Hope opened its
doors to the community in October 2005 under the leadership of
our founding pastor, Joe Warring.
The Lord has blessed us with some incredible
people, and we've enjoyed the spiritual adventure together. In
April 2007, Dr. Scott Heine took the reins as our Senior Pastor.
As Hope continues forward, we're holding tight to God's guidance
and exploring opportunities to serve our community with his
love.
Our AffiliationWe are proud to be part of the Evangelical Free

Our Pastor
Dr.
Scott Heine was born and raised in the suburbs of the San
Francisco Bay Area. He married Margo in 1987, and they
homeschool their three teenage children — Benjamin, Elizabeth, &
Rebecca . They’ve also got a very spoiled English Springer
Spaniel named Blossom. Scott & Margo are both self-confessed
Starbucks addicts. (“Half-caf triple grande three-pump
sugar-free vanilla no-foam with nutmeg latte, please!”)Scott completed his B.A. in Biblical Studies at
Biola University in Los Angeles, and his M.Div. and D.Min. at
Trinity International University in Chicago. Scott has enjoyed
the privilege of serving churches in California, Illinois,
Nebraska, and Arizona before settling in with us at Hope and
making Virginia his home.
Scott enjoys camping, playing games, reading,
movies, and hanging out with friends. He loves the Lord
passionately, and is eager to pass on his enthusiasm to others.
-
Best Vacation Ever: 11 days at
Disneyworld with kids, parents, in-laws, etc. We had a
blast!
- Favorite Music: I
really love Jazz (especially a good sax or clarinet solo) or
the driving percussion of classic Rock, though variety is
the spice of life. My car radio might be on Contemporary
Christian, Easy Listening, Oldies, or Classic depending on
my mood.
- Favorite Book: Way too hard to pick
just one, but probably almost anything by C.S. Lewis. I also
like novels by Lawhead or Grisham.
- Favorite Movie: Rudy (“best...
movie... ever!”)
- Favorite Food:
Margo’s home-made
chicken pot pie. Mmmmm...
- One experience I want to have before I die:
I would love to visit Israel for an extended tour.
- Something most people don’t know about
me: I collected comic books as a kid. Green Lantern was
my favorite. (Stop by the office some time and I’ll show you
the Green Lantern action figure my kids bought me for my
birthday...)
